Job Expectations:

Manage the Accounting team that performs various accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, etc.
Responsible for payroll and timesheet management of weekly payroll; includes ensuring all data is accurate and posted timely and reconciles to both HRIS and ERP systems.
Manage and review complex account reconciliations, including creating templates for complex areas and reviewing existing reconciliations for accuracy, audit readiness and opportunities for improvement.
Manage and maintain current and complete accurate records of all subledger accounts on the General Ledger with the assistance of the accounting team. This is an important aspect of this position as precise reporting will assist company leadership continue to grow the company.
Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation and period closings.
Evaluate accounting processes for improvements to comply with GAAP and applicable regulations and best practices.
Keep abreast of CA compliance, federal and state regulations for accounting and payroll processes
Create budget/forecast and ensure clear communication to management and various stakeholders takes place so that all have a thorough understanding.
Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports that are prepared monthly/annually; this includes actual to budget variance analysis.
Maintain various business licenses and permits and complete any compliance filings.

REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree

5 years experience

Manufacturing or Distribution industry experience

Software: Acumatica or Softean PLUS
